Paul Francis Fitzpatrick GAICD
Mr Fitzpatrick has officially taken the role as Chairman of the Board with Kinship Farms in what he describes as a company that fits like a glove into the objectives outlined in the development and transformation of the Peel Food Zone and any food bowl looking to establish food security into the future.
He was born and bred in the Peel Region and is a descendant of a pioneering agriculture family since 1893. As a graduate of the UWA Advanced School of Management Program and the Australian Institute of Company Directors Paul brings a range of skills as a Company Director from a broadly based and diverse background with an emphasis on strategic planning that he acquired over 35 years of expertise in international business development and marketing in both the public and private sector.
He co-founded the international award winning ‘smart house’ technology, the Smart Company of Australia in 1993. In 2001 Paul returned to the Peel region to develop Lifestyle Olive Farms where he founded Farmstead Technology, a R&D company that specialised in innovative smart farm technology addressing sustainability and diversification on farms.
Paul is a past Chairman of the Peel Development Commission, and during his time launching the Peel Regional Investment Blueprint to 2050, and implementing the Transform Peel program that addresses the Food and Innovation Precinct totalling some 42k hectares of economic growth, innovation and job creation throughout the Peel region to 2050.
